The short version
Be who you say you are. Treat people the way you would want your sister, brother or friend to be treated. Anything that puts another member at risk is removed, and we would rather lose a member than leave someone unsafe.
Be real
Use your own recent photos and your real age. No impersonation, no borrowed pictures, no fake identities, no accounts run on behalf of someone else. One person, one account.
Be 18 or over
MeetMe is for adults. Accounts we believe belong to a minor are removed immediately, and content involving minors is reported to the authorities. If you suspect someone is under 18, report it — that report is our highest priority.
Be respectful
No harassment, hate, threats, or abuse based on ethnicity, religion, language, caste, gender, disability or sexuality. Persistence after someone has stopped replying is harassment. So is a sexual message to someone who has not invited one.
No nudity or sexual content in public parts of the profile
Profile photos and bios must be appropriate for anyone to see. Sexually explicit images, sexual services and any content involving minors are prohibited outright and are reported where the law requires it.
No scams, no money
No soliciting money, gifts, top-ups or bank details. No investment, crypto, forex or “opportunity” pitches. No links to phishing or malware. Asking a member for money is grounds for removal on its own.
No commercial use
MeetMe is not a marketplace. No advertising, no promotion, no recruiting, no selling, no directing people to paid content elsewhere.
Protect other people's privacy
Do not post someone else's phone number, address, workplace, photos or private messages. Do not screenshot a conversation and share it publicly. Do not out anyone.
What happens if you break these
Depending on severity: a warning, a feature restriction, a temporary suspension, or permanent removal. Every action carries a recorded policy reason, and you can appeal it — a different reviewer will look at your case. Serious harm is escalated to the authorities.
